The Tennessee Titans fired general manager Jon Robinson on Tuesday. It was truly an unforeseen bombshell. Team owner Amy Adams Strunk released a powerful statement that indicated Robinson’s Titans are failing to meet her expectations. It’s a bold in-season firing for a 7-5 team that’s going to win its third consecutive division title.
The search for Robinson’s replacement begins immediately. The Titans should compile a lengthy list of would-be candidates that includes both in-house applicants and outside contenders. Initial signs indicate the Titans will keep this hire in-house, however. We’ve swiftly identified four potential in-house candidates.
