6 free-agent wide receivers the Tennessee Titans should and shouldn’t sign

Welcome to Broadway Sports’ 2023 Tennessee Titans NFL Free Agency Primer! Free agency is set to officially begin on March 15th, but the legal tampering window will open approximately 48 hours earlier on March 13. The Titans possess several needs, including sizable ones at offensive tackle, wide receiver, EDGE and interior offensive line (both guard and center arguably).

Wide receiver is a massive need. The loss of A.J. Brown still lingers. General manager Ran Carthon released Robert Woods, who led the Titans in receptions and receiving yards in 2022. Woods failed to meet his expectations. The Titans have struck out on various veteran receiver acquisitions (Woods and Julio Jones).

The Titans should tread carefully in free agency, however. This year's crop of available pass catchers leaves plenty to be desired. Drafting a receiver in the first-or-second-round may also be a necessity. The Titans had a formal meeting with TCU receiver Quentin Johnston at last week's NFL Scouting Combine. While combing through the weeds, we’ve identified three wide receivers the Titans should and shouldn’t possess interest in free agency . . .
