A.J. Brown, Jadeveon Clowney, DaQuan Jones miss Thursday’s practice

The Titans haven’t held a regular weekday practice since before the COVID outbreak of September 29th. That hasn’t quite changed this week, even though the team is back on the field for a regular Wednesday-Thursday-Friday schedule.

Having just played a game on Tuesday evening, this week’s practices will likely be very light. And why not? As the Titans showed on Tuesday, they don’t exactly need a full week of practice in order to execute on gameday…

Here’s the injury report information that has been released:

THOUGHTS

After a hefty rest day for a ton of guys, most players returned to the field in at least a limited capacity on Thursday. The limited participations are nothing to be concerned of at this stage. The team is taking it easy with only five days to turnaround between games this week.

Star receiver A.J. Brown, prominent free agent Jadeveon Clowney, trench warrior DaQuan Jones, and special teams ace Chris Milton were held out of practice for a second straight day, but even this still feels like extended rest for key players.

The one noteworthy injury is to Darrynton Evans, who has had setback after setback with his hamstring injury and now finds himself on Injured Reserve. He will miss at least three games (not weeks, in the event of another COVID postponement, but three games). And as we’ve seen with Adoree Jackson, it could be longer.

Texans

The Texans Thursday injuries will be added when the updated report is released…

THOUGHTS

One player who won’t show up on the injury report is linebacker Benardrick McKinney, who was placed on IR earlier this week. McKinney started four games this year, totalling 38 tackles, one tackle for loss and one pass breakup.
