Can Titans get themselves back into playoff picture with win over Colts?

Would a victory over the Indianapolis Colts this weekend catapult the Tennessee Titans back into the AFC playoff picture?

It sounds like a longshot, but is perhaps closer to becoming reality. The Titans secured a win over the Carolina Panthers on Sunday, improving their Nissan Stadium record to 4-0 this season.

Home field advantage

Consider that four of Tennessee's final six contests will be played within the walls of Nissan Stadium, including Sunday's impending showdown with the Colts, which is the first of four AFC South games remaining on the schedule. Mike Vrabel's message to the locker room will claim everything the Titans hope to achieve this season remains in front of them.

Updating the statistics from Sunday's win over Carolina, the Titans are currently scoring 24.75 points per contest at Nissan Stadium. Sunday's showing was their worst home performance of the season from an offensive perspective, but scoring 17 first-half points, a number they haven't reached on the road this season, saw the Titans go into a predictably conservative second-half shell.

Despite a failure to move the football effectively throughout quarters three and four, the Titans are still averaging 344.75 yards of offense per game at home.
