Nashville’s Robert Castellanos named to MLS Team of the Week

Nashville SC have a player in the MLS Team of the Week for the sixth consecutive week. Center back Robert Castellanos has been selected this week following his Nashville SC and MLS debut.

Castellanos, 23, was told he’d start Sunday night’s match against Toronto FC just an hour before kickoff. The defender help hold the Reds to just two shots on target and scored the equalizer himself, flicking a header to the near post from a Dave Romney long throw. Castellanos came close to scoring a second just after the break, in addition to completing 92% of his passes, winning four duels and recording 14 clearances.

Nashville will travel to take on conference-leading New England Revolution on Wednesday.
