Colts place three players on COVID list, including QB Carson Wentz

Just after noon on Monday, the Indianapolis Colts placed QB Carson Wentz, C Ryan Kelly, and WR Zach Pascal on their Reserve/COVID-19 list.

It is so far unclear if the three starters are covid positive, symptomatic, or just close contacts.

Carson Wentz is coming under renewed fire for his vaccination status as a result of being put on the list. His decision to not get vaccinated was first a topic of discussion very early on in training camp.

Wentz seemed to be nearing an early return from his foot surgery that was supposed to keep him out at least until right before Week 1. Now, it looks like he’ll be spending a minimum of 10 more days on the sideline regardless of the status of his foot.

  1. Thanks for being an anti-vaxxer, Carson! I hope you are not hurt by it, but I hope it hurts your team and the Colts lose a few before you return. Maybe then you will learn a bit about how personal choices can affect others. Our QB understands.
