Derrick Henry’s rank on NFL Top 100 is highest in Titans’ franchise history

The NFL has been unveiling their Top 100 Players of 2020 over the last few weeks, and tonight was the final reveal for the Top 10.

Derrick Henry came in at No. 10, the second-highest running back on the list behind Christian McCaffrey. Henry of course led the NFL in rushing yards last season with 1,540 yard and 16 touchdowns on the ground. He also carried the Titans to the AFC Championship game, becoming the only player in NFL history to rush for 180+ yards in three consecutive games, and the only player in NFL history to rush for 180+ yards in multiple (let alone consecutive) road playoff games.

The Titans locked up Henry to a four-year, $50 million dollar contract extension earlier this month.

Henry joins Logan Ryan (60), Ryan Tannehill (68), and Jurrell Casey (71) as 2019 Titans to make this year’s list. He is the highest-rated Titans player since DeMarco Murray slotted in at 33rd overall in 2017. The Titans previous highest rated player was Chris Johnson, who checked in at 13th overall in 2011, the inaugural year for the NFL’s Top 100 Players.

Of course, this list is stupid and doesn’t mean anything, which we knew to be true when D.K. Metcalf was included over A.J. Brown, when Kevin Byard was snubbed completely, and when Todd Gurley and J.J. Watt came in at 51 and 45 respectively.
