Finally. The 2020 NFL football season is upon us. Welcome to the debut edition of "In the Trenches," where I will take a close look at the opposing offensive and defensive lines the Titans face each week and give you my thoughts on the matchups. 

Starting next week, I will be opening this series with a review of the Titans' performance in the previous week's game. This week instead I start with my "scouting report" preview for the Titans' next opponent. One of my many jobs as a coach was writing up and reviewing scouting reports. Using a similar structure, I will present these reports for the Titans' opponents each week.

As a former line coach, I tend to keep my eyes on the trenches for the majority of snaps. This is where the magic happens. I look forward to digging in each and every week, exploring where all of the work gets done.
