Jaguars first-round RB Travis Etienne suffered significant tear, potentially out for the season

We reported this morning that the Jacksonville Jaguars’ first-round selection, rookie RB Travis Etienne, suffered a mid-foot injury in preseason action last night. You can read that report, including more on Etienne, here.

We’re now learning that Etienne’s injury has been deemed a “significant tear”, according to NFL insider Ian Rapoport.

It’s a Lisfranc injury that will require surgery, knocking him out for several months and potentially the entire 2021 season.
