Major League Soccer updates preseason schedule

Major League Soccer announced an updated preseason schedule on Saturday. Following the news that the 2021 season will begin April 17, two weeks later than initially scheduled, players will now report to pre-season training on March 1. After reporting, players will undergo a seven-day quarantine period, medical exams and Covid-19 testing prior to the start of team training on March 8. This will allow for six weeks of training ahead of the start of the season.

MLS also noted that players may voluntarily begin their quarantine before the March 1 report date. This would allow players to conduct individual training sessions during the March 1-8 window, or group training with other members of the team who have also quarantined. Members of the coaching and technical staffs may not be present for any group training prior to March 1.

Nashville SC will announce their pre-season plans in the coming weeks.
