Mason Kinsey adds versatility to Titans offense, special teams

Tennessee Titans wide receiver Mason Kinsey may be entering a fate-deciding period. A four-year veteran, the Titans have often retained Kinsey on the practice squad with a few well-deserved call-ups to the active 53-man roster. For the fourth consecutive offseason, Kinsey is slated to partake in a competitive battle to make the team. Given Kinsey’s experience and a lack of depth at receiver, he’s better positioned than ever to achieve his goals.

Kinsey recently spoke exclusively with Broadway Sports. We previewed training camp together, discussed his debut action from the 2022 season, playing special teams, and more. Kinsey has a clear-cut goal to contribute to the 2023 Titans.

JM: You caught your first career regular-season pass in an October win over the Indianapolis Colts. You also played as a punt returner in 2022. You played a little in 2021, but this felt like progress to me. What was that in-game feeling like?

Mason Kinsey: It was awesome. I was willing to do whatever I can to get out there and contribute. Whether that’s as a punt returner or at receiver, it really doesn’t matter to me. I’m happy to play on special teams.

It was exciting to get out there and finally get a catch on the stat sheet during the regular season. 

JM: Was there a feeling like yeah, my hard . . .
