Nashville SC’s Miguel Nazarit joins Independiente Santa Fe on loan

UPDATED JANUARY 22: Nashville SC have officially confirmed that Miguel Nazarit has joined Colombian side Independiente Santa Fe on loan for the 2021 season. The center-back joined Nashville SC ahead of their expansion season in Major League Soccer, but didn’t see a minute of action behind Dave Romney and Walker Zimmerman, two of the best defenders in the league.

While Nashville SC has yet to announce the move, sources have told Broadway Sports and MLSSoccer.com‘s Tom Bogert that the move will be a one year loan once final paperwork is completed.

Nazarit, 23, made 39 appearances for Once Caldas in Colombia before joining Nashville. He has also been involved with the Colombian U-23 national team.

The loan move will free up an international roster spot for Nashville, and will hopefully see Nazarit play meaningful minutes to continue his development before a potential return to Nashville.
