Columbus Crew move up into fourth place after a 5-1 thrashing of New England Revolution on the road. They’ve won six of their last seven and are sixth in the points-per-game table with just 18 games played. I’m picking them to make a late run for the Supporters’ Shield.

It’s going to be tight, though. Three teams are averaging at or above 2.0 points per game. Inter Miami picked up another win without their stars, beating Nashville SC on the road thanks to two set-piece goals. LAFC continue to dominate the power rankings, and are just four points off of Miami’s Supporters’ Shield lead after Mateusz Bogusz’s hat trick over Colorado. And my personal Supporters’ Shield favorite FC Cincinnati grinded out a 1-0 win on the road against FC Dallas.

Just a tier down, LA Galaxy kept pace with a 3-0 win over San Jose Earthquakes and are close to getting Riqui Puig back to full health. Their defense is generally bad, but it doesn’t matter then they’re scoring two goals a game. New York City FC bounced back after three-straight losses with a dominant 4-2 win over Orlando City, unfortunately losing stellar rookie Malachi Jones for the year with a broken leg in a collision that saw Orlando goalkeeper Mason Stajduhar suffer a similar injury.

At the bottom, Sporting KC and CF Montréal both picked up wins. Sporting beat a bad Austin FC 2-0 at home, while Montréal clobbered Philadelphia Union 4-2, thanks to a standout showing from Bryce Duke.

Which teams should be ranked differently? Let us know in the comments.
