Nashville SC’s Hany Mukhtar named MLS Player of the Week

Nashville SC midfielder Hany Mukhtar was named the MLS Player of the Week on Monday. The German-born attacker scored a brace in Nashville’s 3-1 win over New York City FC on Friday, taking his tally to 10 goals and eight assists on the season.

It’s Mukhtar’s second Player of the Week honor this season, and his fourth since joining Nashville in 2020. Additionally, Dan Lovitz was honored with a spot on the Team of the Week bench, completing 73% of his passes and putting in a two-way shift on both sides of the ball.
