Nashville SC Academy player Liam Devan called up to U.S. Youth National Team

For the fourth consecutive window, Nashville SC’s Liam Devan will be with the US National Team at the U-15 level for the upcoming Vlatko Marković Tournament from May 10th-20th. During this tournament, the USYNT will face Croatia, England, and Morocco.

Devan was called up for and played in last November’s UEFA Development Tournament, as well as participating in April’s training camp. This tournament will conclude the one year U-15 cycle, of which Devan was one of just 12 players to be selected for all four camps.

Nashville’s academy system is still very young, and will take time to really kick into gear, but it’s an incredible achievement for both the club and the player to be on the forefront of his age group. Fellow academy player Charly Dealmonte has also been called in for national team duty with both the U-15s and U-16s in the past year, most recently with the latter in November. Current Huntsville City FC centerback Scott Cheevers also was called into a U-15 camp in 2022.

As Nashville’s academy continues to grow, the list of Gold Mine prospects donning the stars and stripes will continue increase.
