NASHVILLE, TN – 32 days after Nashville SC’s 2022 season ended, the club finally announced their roster decisions heading into the offseason. They were the last of all 29 MLS clubs to announce their decisions.

Nashville had an option year for McCarty, but instead renegotiated a new contract for the captain. McCarty, who made his 439th regular season appearance in 2022, will return to Music City for the 2023 season, his 19th in MLS.
Eric Miller enters free agency after three seasons in Nashville. The defender was signed in the 2019 re-entry draft, and went on to make 46 appearances for the ‘Yotes in his three seasons.
Jacob Shaffelburg’s purchase option was triggered. The 22-year-old had been on loan from Toronto FC, and was acquired permanently for up to $300,000 in General Allocation Money.
