Nashville SC drawn against Inter Miami in US Open Cup Round of 16

Nashville SC have will travel south for the US Open Cup Round of 16, taking on Inter Miami CF at Ft. Lauderdale’s DRV PNK Stadium either on May 23 or 24. The ‘Yotes advanced from the Round of 32 with a 2-0 win over FC Dallas at Geodis Park.

With the Open Cup switching to a locked-in bracket, Nashville would face either Charlotte FC or Birmingham Legion in the quarterfinals, should they advance past Miami. Since they were drawn as the away side for the Round of 16, they won’t have a chance to host again until the semifinal stage, when the hosts are re-drawn.

Nashville and Miami have played six times in MLS, with the ‘Yotes posting a record of 3W-2D-1L. Their last meeting came in September 2021, when a brace from Hany Mukhtar lead Nashville to a 5-1 win on the road.
