Nashville SC loan David Accam to Hammarby

Nashville SC announced Thursday that they’ve loaned winger David Accam to Swedish side Hammarby IF on a 12 month loan with an option to transfer.

Accam, 30, was signed from Columbus Crew for $450,000 in allocation money in May 2019. Accam appeared in seven matches for Nashville in 2020, starting their MLS debut and scoring a late winner to give them their first-ever victory in MLS.

A string of injuries kept Accam out of action for the majority of the season, though, and with players like Alex Muyl, Handwalla Bwana and Rodrigo Piñeiro brought in, it appears that Nashville are ready to move on.

Accam has played in Sweden before, playing three seasons with Östersunds and Helsingborgs before joining MLS in 2015.

Nashville currently have 22 players on their roster for the 2021 season.
