Nashville SC loan defender Laurence Wyke to Tampa Bay Rowdies

Nashville SC have loaned defender Laurence Wyke to USL Championship side Tampa Bay Rowdies for the remainder of the 2023 season, the club announced Saturday morning. Wyke, 26, joined Nashville SC on a one-year deal at the start of the season, with further options for 2024 and 2025. Nashville have the option to end the loan at any point during the season.

Wyke previously played for Tampa Bay from 2021-2022. The defender started all three of Nashville’s US Open Cup matches, but with their elimination in the Round of 16, it’s unlikely that he would see much playing time for Nashville, if any. He only made three match day squads for Nashville, and didn’t make an appearance in the league.

Nashville SC are back in league action tonight, taking on FC Dallas at Toyota Stadium at 7:30 pm CT.
