NASHVILLE, TN – Nashville SC announced Wednesday that goalkeeper Elliot Panicco and defender Nick Hinds have been loaned to Austin Bold FC of the USL Championship for the 2021 season. Both players have recall clauses in their loan contract and Nashville can terminate their loan moves at any point during the season.
Elliot Panicco was selected 13th overall by Nashville in the 2020 SuperDraft. He won the second choice job early, appearing on the bench in all but the first two matches of the 2020 season. The 24-year-old is highly rated by Nashville, but has yet to see the field at a professional level. Bryan Meredith was signed in the offseason, and the veteran ‘keeper has earned the second choice job. At this point in his career, Panicco needs to see the field, and will be in contention for the starting job in Austin.
Nashville signed Seattle Sounders academy product Nick Hinds in the offseason in a deal that included his homegrown rights. The 23-year-old made 68 appearances for Seattle’s USL affiliate Tacoma Defiance, and should get plenty of minutes at the USL level.
