Nashville SC loan Robert Castellanos to Tampa Bay Rowdies

Nashville SC announced Friday that defender Robert Castellanos has been loaned to USL Championship side Tampa Bay Rowdies for the 2022 season. Nashville can recall Castellanos at any point.

Castellanos, 23, was signed ahead of the 2021 season from Rio Grande Valley Toros FC. He made just one appearance in 2021, making an instant impact with a goal against Toronto.

Highly rated by Nashville’s technical staff, Castellanos’s prospects for minutes this season have grown after the club drafted Ahmed Longmire and offseason signing Josh Bauer has quickly climbed the pecking order. Castellanos should be a key player for the Rowdies this season, allowing him to continue his development.
