Nashville SC Recall Defender Jack Maher From Loan

NASHVILLE, TN – Nashville SC have recalled center-back Jack Maher from his loan to USL side Charlotte Independence ahead of the MLSisBack Tournament. Maher, 20, was selected by Nashville with the second overall pick of the 2020 SuperDraft, but was loaned to Charlotte after Nashville’s first match of the season. Maher started one match for Charlotte, playing 90 minutes in a 2-1 win over Sporting KC II before the USL Championship suspended the season due to Covid-19.

Nashville were scheduled to fly to Orlando for the MLSisBack Tournament on Wednesday, but delayed their flight until Thursday following The Athletic’s report of a positive Covid-19 test from a member of the club. Nashville is scheduled to play their first match on July 8 against Chicago Fire.
