Nashville SC to host San Antonio FC in U.S. Open Cup Third Round

Nashville SC will host San Antonio FC in the U.S. Open Cup Third Round. Entering the competition in the third round, the MLS side was drawn against the reigning USL Championship winners. They’ll host the match at Geodis Park either on April 25 or 26.

San Antonio have played in the USL Championship since 2016. In 2022, they led all teams in the regular season with 77 points from 34 matches, finishing with a conference-best +28 goal differential. They won the 2022 USL Championship final, taking down Louisville City 3-1 in the final.

San Antonio currently sit in second place in the USL Championship’s Western Conference. Through four matches, they’ve earned 10 points, winning three and drawing one. Their seven goals scored are tied for third-most in the league.
