Nashville SC trade five international roster slots for $825,000 in GAM

NASHVILLE, TN – Nashville SC made one of the most Nashville SC trades of all time, dishing out five (FIVE) international roster slots at once in return for $825,000 in General Allocation Money.

Nashville sent two international slots to New York City FC for $325,000 in 2024 GAM. They sent two to Charlotte FC for $300,000 in 2024 GAM plus $25,000 in 2025 GAM. And they sent one to St. Louis CITY SC for $175,000 in 2024 GAM.

Nashville SC have a long history of dishing out international spots. Last season alone, they traded away seven international spots for a total of $1.25 million in GAM. In total, Nashville SC have traded away 26 international roster spots since joining MLS in 2020.

Currently, Nashville have a total of four international slots; three of their allocated eight per season, plus an additional 2024 slot acquired from Sporting Kansas City last summer. Currently, Sam Surridge and Lukas MacNaughton occupy international slots, leaving Nashville with two open. However, MacNaughton is likely to move into a domestic slot before the season starts, giving Nashville three open slots with which to work.
