Nashville SC’s Alex Muyl, Walker Zimmerman named to MLS Team of the Week

Nashville SC’s Alex Muyl and Walker Zimmerman have been named to the MLS Team of the Week following their performances in Nashville’s 2-0 win over New England Revolution.

Alex Muyl got his first goal in a gold shirt, pouncing on a loose pass before rolling a well-placed shot to the far post. Aside from his goal, Muyl completed 80% of his passing and was a consistent threat from pressing situations. We’ll dive into it more later this week, but Nashville are a much better side when Muyl is on the field.

Walker Zimmerman helped Nashville to their second clean sheet of 2021, keeping New England’s impressive attack at bay. Additionally, Zimmerman assisted CJ Sapong for the opening goal, heading the ball back across the box for Sapong to finish.

Nashville SC sit on six points through four matches. They head on the road for the first time this season, taking on Real Salt Lake on Saturday.
