Nashville SC’s Randall Leal named to MLS team of the week

Nashville SC midfielder Randall Leal has been named to the MLS Team of the Week for week one. The Costa Rican international had a goal and an assist in Nashville’s 2-2 draw with FC Cincinnati, including scoring from distance with a shot that he later admitted was intended as a cross.

FC Cincinnati goalkeeper Przemysław Tytoń was also named to the team of the week. The Polish netminder made 11 saves to rescue a point for Cincinnati, facing an onslaught of 32 shots from Nashville. Midfielder Luciano Acosta was named to the bench after he scored the opening goal just eight minutes until the match.

Leal was named to the MLS Team of the Week twice last season. Next up for Nashville, CF Montréal comes to Nissan Stadium on Saturday, April 24.
