Nashville SC’s Walker Zimmerman and Shaq Moore to train with USMNT in pre-World Cup camp

NASHVILLE, TN – Nashville SC announced Tuesday that defenders Walker Zimmerman and Shaq Moore will train with the U.S. Men’s National Team in Dallas in their pre-World Cup camp.

The camp will consist of MLS players whose teams are no longer in season, either eliminated from or failing to qualify for the MLS Cup Playoffs. The full 26-man roster will be announced in a televised even on Wednesday, November 9. The US play their first match at Qatar against Wales on November 21.

The camp includes nine MLS players, with a sizeable group from the U.S. U-20 squad making up numbers. Notably, FC Cincinnati striker Brandon Vázquez was not included in the camp, although he could be added later. Vázquez, 24, scored 19 goals and assisted eight for Cincinnati this season. He’s contributed to more goals this year than presumed starter Jesús Ferreira in 2022, but hasn’t received a call up to any camp this year.
