Availability Report

Inter Miami come into Nashville without most of their high profile names. Lionel Messi, Luis Suárez, and Matias Rojas are all at the Copa América, while they simultaneously deal with a host of injuries. Facundo Farias and Nicolas Freire are out for the year with ACL injuries, joining Diego Gómez, Federico Redondo and Marcelo Weigandt on the sidelines.

Head coach Tata Martino has had to get creative with his selections. Last match saw center back Ian Fray play (and score) as a right back in his return from long-term injury, while SuperDraft pick Yanick Bright got the nod in midfield. Without much options for flexibility, expect to see a similar XI in Nashville tomorrow night.

Despite the absences, this is still a very dangerous side. There’s plenty of elite talent in the squad still, including DP center forward Leo Campana, and they’ve won four of their last six matches. They’ve taken three points in every game since Messi left to play with Argentina. It won’t be an easy test for Nashville.

Nashville SC

Last match: 1-0 win vs New York City FC
Power Rankings: 18th

Availability Report

Nashville have started rolling a bit post-Gary Smith. They have three wins and a draw in their last five games, and have firmly climbed back into the playoff places.

Sam Surridge has found new form as a left winger, scoring twice in Toronto and picking up the assist for Tyler Boyd’s match winner against NYCFC last weekend. With Teal Bunbury happy to do the dirty work and open up space as a target forward, Surridge has been freed to play in the space out wide, giving him more time on the ball and space to exploit.

Forster Ajago has begun to work himself into the rotation, coming off the bench and providing a spark. He’s been in elite form for Huntsville City FC in MLS NEXT Pro, and could be in line for a start.
