Nashville SC have completed the signing of defender Shaq Moore from CD Tenerife, a source confirms to Broadway Sports Media. ESPN‘s Jeff Carlisle was first to report Nashville’s interest, with The Tennessean‘s Drake Hills breaking the signing.
Moore, 25, spent time with the FC Dallas academy before making the jump to Spain in 2014. After trialing with several clubs, he signed with Huracán’s academy, making his professional debut in Spain’s Segunda División B in August 2015. Since then, Moore has played with several teams in Spain, making six appearances in La Liga (the Spanish top flight).
Since 2019, he has played for Tenerife, where he’s made 101 appearances in all competitions. Moore played a vital role in their push for promotion to La Liga this past season, including starting all four matches of Tenerife’s playoff series.
Moore has 15 caps for the United States Men’s National Team. He appeared in all six matches at the 2021 Concacaf Gold Cup, starting five and scoring the winner in a group stage match against Canada after just 20 seconds.
We’ll have more on this signing once it’s officially announced.
