REPORT: Nashville SC To Resume Play Next Friday

Nashville SC are eight days from taking the field once again. Major League Soccer is currently planning to have Nashville play at FC Dallas next Friday, August 7, sources tell Broadway Sports Media. Both Nashville and Dallas were withdrawn from the MLS is Back tournament due to Covid-19 outbreaks within the squad.

The tournament group stage matches counted towards the regular season, which The Athletic reported will resume on August 22. Nashville and Dallas will play each other three times to make up for those missed matches. Details on when and where the other two games will take place have not yet been confirmed.

It should be noted that the due to the current coronavirus landscape, scheduling plans are extremely volatile. The USL Championship has already had several postponements due to Covid, and schedule changes should be expected as MLS navigates their return to play. BSM will continue to update this story as it develops.
