Nashville’s CJ Sapong and Alex Muyl named to MLS Team of the Week

Nashville SC have a pair of players in the MLS Team of the Week following their 5-2 win over DC United last night. CJ Sapong was selected to the starting lineup for his brace, while Alex Muyl makes the bench after a pair of goals off the bench.

Sapong scored his seventh and eighth goals of the season in the first half, heading home crosses from Randall Leal and Hany Mukhtar to pull Nashville back from a 1-0 deficit. Meanwhile, Muyl came off the bench in the second half and scored his second and third goals of the year. The first was a well-controlled ball and finish to the far post, and his second came from the penalty spot after he was brought down in the box.
