A press release was sent out today by the NFLPA displaying the 20 NFL teams that have their “Infectious Disease Emergency Response” plan approved.
The Infection Disease Emergency Response (IDER) plan means that the Tennessee Titans can now have the approved number of players in the facility. That number was agreed upon by the NFL and NFLPA earlier this week at 80 players.
If the IDER had not been approved, then once training camp starts, it would have been limited to just 20 players in the facility at a time. So this is a huge step in the right direction for the Titans.
The IDER being approved also means that the Titans have taken the stringent and necessary precautions to protect the players, staff, and anyone else that may be in the facility.
The reason I say this is that Nashville is ranked fifth among NFL Metropolitan areas when it comes to daily cases per 100,000 population. The Titans are currently at 38.97 cases according to the NFLPA web site. The highest is Miami and the lowest is the New York football teams.
You can see all 32 teams ranked here at this web site.
