The Boy is Back in Town: Will Compton expected to sign with Titans

The Titans are reportedly expected to sign LB Will Compton, per Field Yates. Most recently, Compton spent time with the Raiders after a season with the Titans and five with the Washington Football Team.

In 2019, Compton totaled 41 tackles for the Raiders after primarily playing a special teams role for the Titans in 2018. Compton has gained additional notoriety in the Nashville area after starting the Bussin’ With the Boys podcast with Titans superstar left tackle, Taylor Lewan.

Compton will likely be vying for a similar role with the Titans as his previous stint: a special teams ace (a similar role as off-season signee Nick Dzubnar), with the added ability to contribute to the defense if needed. It is likely that Compton’s familiarity with the system here in Tennessee was viewed as extremely valuable in a training camp with no preseason games and limited practice times.

Compton also recently appeared on an episode of Broadway Sports’ own Football and Other F Words podcast.
