Titans 53-Man Roster: Ranking Position Groups 1-11

The Tennessee Titans officially submitted their initial 53-man roster on Tuesday afternoon. Otis Reese IV, Anthony Kendall, and Matthew Jackson were among the surprise inclusions. Thomas Odukoya, Eric Garror, and Michael Dwumfour were among the unexpected releases. The Titans also acquired kicker Nick Folk in a trade with the New England Patriots.

We've analyzed the Titans 53-man roster. Titans general manager Ran Carthon may make a handful of transactions, but the overall makeup of the 2023 squad has been finalized. The practice squad will be submitted on Wednesday. We've ranked all position groups 1-11 from strongest to weakest.

RUNNING BACKS:

Derrick Henry, Tyjae Spears, Julius Chestnut (3)

The Titans have the best running back in the league in Derrick Henry. Third-round rookie Tyjae Spears was dynamic throughout the preseason. It finally appears like the Titans found the ideal change-of-pace back behind Henry. Julius Chestnut was outstanding for a second consecutive preseason, earning Tennessee's third and final spot. The Titans are legit three-deep at the position.

DEFENSIVE LINE:

Jeffery Simmons, Denico Autry, Teair Tart, Jayden Peevy, Naquan Jones (5)

Jeffery Simmons is an elite defensive player. Some list Denico Autry as an EDGE, but he's versatile enough to be listed with this group in my opinion. Teair Tart has shown legitimate flashes of developing into a much better pass rusher . . .
