The Titans got another player back from the reserve/COVID list Friday as fullback Khari Blasingame was activated back to the 53-man roster.
The return of Blasingame could provide a boost to a rushing attack that struggled to get going against Buffalo on Tuesday night. The Houston Texans have been very vulnerable against the run this season. They currently rank near the bottom of the league in every run defense statistic that exists. We expect to see a healthy dose of Derrick Henry on Sunday. The return of Blasingame, assuming he’s healthy enough to be active, would only amplify that.
The Titans have now gotten 11 of the 14 players that were on the reserve/COVID list at one point last week back. Isaiah Wilson and Greg Mabin were activated on October 10th (though the team was given a roster exemption to hold Wilson out for one more game Tuesday night). Both Wilson and Mabin had tested positive prior to the full-blown outbreak two weeks ago.
Corey Davis and MyCole Pruitt remain on the reserve/COVID list for now. Mike Vrabel stopped short of completely ruling them out for this week during his Friday afternoon presser, but admitted that they’re on the wrong side of questionable at this point. I wouldn’t expect to see either guy back this Sunday, but both Davis and Pruitt *should* be ready to roll for next weekend’s showdown with the Pittsburgh Steelers.
