Titans’ beefy collection of wide receivers still must prove bigger is better at the position

By John Glennon

A 10-year NFL veteran and nine-year coach in the league, Rob Moore has seen his fair share of pass-catchers over the past three decades.

But when it comes to this year’s crop of Titans wide receivers, Moore acknowledges his current group is like none he’s ever witnessed in one sizable category.

“I cannot (compare another group to this one), to be honest,” Moore said. “This is certainly the biggest group I’ve ever had. I really can’t mention another group that would rival this (in size).”

Those are big words coming from a big man himself, as the 6-3, 203-pound Moore – in his fourth year as the Titans’ wide receivers coach -- used his substantial frame to pile up 628 catches, 9,368 receiving yards and 49 touchdowns during his NFL career.

He finds himself right at home with his 2021 pupils, as the Titans’ roll call at the position reads -- in part -- like this: Julio Jones (6-3, 220), A.J. Brown (6-1, 226), Josh Reynolds (6-3, 196), Nick Westbrook (6-2, 211), Cody Hollister (6-4, 216), Dez Fitzpatrick (6-2, 208) and Racy McMath (6-3, 217).

There are a few of the smaller fry around, of course . . .
