THOUGHTS

Well, there you have it. Turns out Jonnu Smith’s absences were more than just maintenance. After being used mostly as a blocker over the past few games, Jonnu is going to take at least a week to get his knee right. The return of MyCole Pruitt should help offset the loss.

Adoree Jackson will also miss this game, his 12th straight absence of the season. At this point, the most important thing is to make sure Jackson is healthy for the playoffs. Ideally they could get him some reps in Weeks 16 and 17 to get him back into game shape, but I won’t hold my breath for that to happen. Breon Borders has surpassed all expectations filling in for Jackson, so while his absence is felt, the defense is more than equipped to handle yet another game without their top corner.

Everyone else is mostly healthy and should play on Sunday. Blasingame appears to have avoided anything serious with his shoulder. It seems Saffold and Simmons will be game-time decisions, but both guys have played through injury before. If they are unable to go, expect Aaron Brewer to replace Saffold at left guard, with Teair Tart getting an increased role on defense.

THOUGHTS

The Browns remain relatively healthy as far as guys on the active roster are concerned. Denzel Ward, KhaDarel Hodge, and Taywan Taylor have been ruled out, but everyone else is set to play.

Two starters, safety Ronnie Harrison and cornerback Greedy Williams, are both on Injured Reserve and will thus miss the match. Meanwhile, Myles Garrett will return against the Titans after missing two games with a positive COVID diagnosis.
