Tennessee Titans cornerback Chris Jackson is excited to be back healthy and competing again. One of the secondary’s most underrated players, the 2022 campaign was a lost one for Jackson. Jackson was placed on season-ending IR in September after 29 total snaps.
A healthier Jackson was a standout performer in 2021. The former Marshall do-it-all defender played 386 defensive snaps as a sophomore en route to earning an elite run-stopping grade of 81.9 from Pro Football Focus. Jackson totaled 272 coverage snaps and was credited with allowing just 29 receptions. A versatile player, Jackson also played 125 snaps on special teams.
Jackson recently spoke exclusively with Broadway Sports. Now entering his fourth season, Jackson is a veteran within Tennessee’s defensive backfield. Jackson discussed his approach to training camp, first impressions on new defensive backs coach Chris Harris, and so much more.
JM: Your 2022 season was unfortunately cut short in September when you went on IR. You’re now back healthy and ready to compete for a spot on the 53-man roster. Entering your fourth season, what’s your approach to training camp?
