Titans DL Jayden Peevy eager to display sophomore improvement

The Tennessee Titans have developed an abundance of undrafted talent across their defensive line. One intriguing candidate to be next in line is sophomore defensive tackle Jayden Peevy. Peevy initially joined the Titans as an undrafted free agent out of Texas A&M last season.

Peevy spent the majority of his rookie season on the practice squad, but did earn enough trust to receive a late-season call-up to the active roster. Peevy featured in Tennessee’s Week 17 primetime loss to the Dallas Cowboys. Peevy played a total of 27 snaps before returning to the Titans this summer.

Peevy recently spoke exclusively with Broadway Sports. Peevy discussed the ups and downs of his rookie campaign, debuting against his hometown Cowboys, growth as a sophomore, positional versatility, and more. Peevy will compete for a 53-man roster spot.

JM: Jayden Peevy experienced the highs and lows as a rookie in 2022. You didn’t make the initial 53-man roster, but you landed on the practice squad. You eventually made your NFL debut in Week 17. How do you reflect on your rookie season?

Jayden Peevy: There were a lot of ups and downs. I had to stick to what I know, and that’s being a great football player. I believe in myself. Confidence has never been an issue for me. I know what I’m capable of.
