Tennessee Titans linebacker Luke Gifford is part of a revamped position group. Gifford was signed to a two-year contract in unrestricted free agency that indicates he’s part of their 2023 and 2024 plans. Gifford arrives in Tennessee with an excellent reputation on special teams, but he’ll be looking to expand his role on defense, where he possesses some untapped potential.
Gifford recently spoke exclusively with Broadway Sports. Gifford discussed his first impression of the defense during OTAs and full-team minicamp, his goals for 2023, and more. Gifford also discussed Titans training camp.
JM: OTAs and full-team minicamp provided you with your first real opportunity to assess your new surroundings after signing with the Titans. What was your initial impression like?
Luke Gifford: I thought it went really well. I was able to get a lot more comfortable with what we’re doing. I was getting used to how they run their program. The biggest for me throughout the Spring was to get used to everything.
I’m in a new system. I’m around a bunch of new people. Making sure I acclimated appropriately was of the utmost importance. I really enjoyed it though. There’s a lot of great guys around this program.
JM: You played for a terrific . . .
