Last night, the Titans completed preseason game one of three. Next they’ll have the Tom Brady-less Bucs and then the Cardinals. What I’d like to see in those next two games is to see some progress from Malik Willis as a passer. Against the Ravens it was clear that Malik has really special gifts as a runner, but as a passer, he left a lot to be desired. Some steps forward the next two weeks would be great to see. More working within the offense, less relying on athleticism please.
Something that stood out to me was how Kyle Michael Philips only had three snaps on offense. I think that speaks to how the coaching staff views him, more of a starter than someone that needs preseason snaps.
Logan Woodside was pretty atrocious in the game, throwing two picks, the first one being especially bad. While I would be surprised if the coaching staff thought Malik was the better backup right now, I won’t be shocked in 3 weeks if they change their minds.
