It’s official. Julio Jones will wear #2 for the Titans. The simplest explanation for the number is 1+1=2, but who knows what the thought process was at this point. Selfishly, I’m happy A.J. didn’t change his number, because it means I won’t have to purchase a new Brown jersey in addition to my impending Jones purchase.

What was the most impactful trade this offseason? NFL.com debates, and I think most of them come to the right conclusion that Matt Stafford to the Rams is the biggest trade this offseason. QB is the most important position in the sport and they got a great one. Julio to the Titans is an excellent trade, but the positional value simply isn’t as high. Nate Burleson could not be more wrong with his pick.
Jump on the bandwagon says Adam Schein. The trade for Julio will result in an 11 win season and a playoff berth according to the NFL.com writer.
Josh Hermsmeyer of FiveThirtyEight says that the Titans’ newest wideout has a lot left in the tank and that a win-now team (like the Titans) was smart to acquire him.
