Daniel Jeremiah heaped enormous praise on NFL Draft Prospect, Trey Lance, when he compared him to Titan Legend, Steve McNair. He compared their toughness and abilities as QBs and leaders. If that comparison holds, it’s pretty clear whoever drafts Lance will be getting a very good QB.
The Chiefs saw their backup OL’s performance in the Super Bowl and decided to double down on it by releasing both of their starting tackles. Mitchell Schwartz and Eric Fisher both are good players and are now out the door. If Kansas City isn’t able to reasonably replace both of them, they will be in a lot of trouble this upcoming season. The need for the Titans to add pass rushers is absolutely paramount if they want to be competitive in the AFC.
The best thing about this FA class is that it’s deep in areas where the Titans need to add multiple guys. WR and EDGE lead the way as far as the most talented groups and that’s precisely what the Titans crave.
This time next week, the Titans will presumably have made some free agent signings. Monday is when the legal tampering period starts, and I expect to see quite a few fireworks. As the late, great, John “Ray” Arnold once said before he was killed by dinosaurs, “hold on to your butts.”
