Titans News: AFC South Champions

In a wild win, the Titans showcased their elite offensive firepower. They also showcased their lack of defense. Either way, AFC South Champions for the first time in 12 years.

Derrick Henry needed a big rushing performance to get to 2,000 yards. He got what he needed and more on Sunday, going for 250 yards against Houston. The man delivers almost every week, and should be a workhorse in the playoffs.

An unlikely hero, Sam Sloman came up clutch for the Titans, banking the winning field goal off of the upright before restoring division glory to Tennessee. If you saw the pregame warmups from Sloman, you’d know that any field goal attempt would be a dicey proposition. Hopefully Gostkowski gets healthy for next week, but for now, Sloman got the job done.

Nick Shook writes that the Titans are in the playoffs, but it’s not just the Derrick Henry show. Ryan Tannehill does not get the credit he’s due.
