Titans News: Afforestation

The weapons for the Titans going into last Friday were pretty gross. NWI was WR2, Geoff Swaim was TE1. Fans were saying that JRob was asleep at the wheel and the Titans didn’t want to win. Some of that changed on Friday, when it was announced that Austin Hooper would be signing a 1 year deal with the Titans.

Jim Wyatt has the things to know about new TE1, Hooper.

In the biggest move of the weekend for the Titans, Jon Robinson made the move to trade a 6th round pick for Robert Woods aka Bobby Trees. Woods has been a phenomenal WR2 for the Rams since coming over from Buffalo. He’s great after the catch, a very good blocker, and a clinical route runner. I am over the moon with this trade and think he is going to bring a lot to the offense. The Titans still need to do more, but this was an excellent trade.

The Titans also signed a few more players:

Jim Wyatt preaches patience when it comes to the Titans and adding additional weapons. I don’t think they’re done. They have some work along the OL to do as well.

The Colts have added Matt Ryan at QB to take over for Carson Wentz. I think Matt is a more stable QB than Carson, but I’m not sure he gets them over the hump. I also think their pass catching weapons are atrocious and they’ll need major retooling in that department.
