The Titans have officially declined the 5th year option on Rashaan Evans’ rookie contract. It was the absolute correct decision, but it is very worrisome that under the Jon Robinson era, only 1 player has had their 5th year option activated, and that player, Adoree Jackson, was cut before he could ever play on it. I would imagine Jeffery Simmons would be the first to actually play on the option, but the short of it is that Robinson HAS to be better in the first round of the draft.
After the draft, NFL.com posted their updated power rankings. The Titans dropped down a spot to 12th on the list. I can’t disagree with the ranking given the losses from the offensive side of the ball this offseason.
Newly drafted EDGE, Rashad Weaver, was charged with assaulting a woman. His lawyer released a statement denying the accusations, so hopefully he is innocent. If not, the Titans will have a big decision on their hands.
Justin Fuente, the head coach of Virginia Tech, says that Caleb Farley has worked his tail off to get where he is. I could not be more excited for the Farley pick. Watching him gives off shades of Jalen Ramsey.
