The Titans’ offense last year relied heavily on the NFL’s rushing leader, Derrick Henry. He joined the short list of running backs ever to rush for over 2,000 yards. In Cynthia Frelund’s simulations for the 2021 season, he reaches that mark over half the time. If he rushes for 2,000 yards again in his career, much less in back to back seasons, go ahead and start sculpting his bust in Canton.
Another interesting stat in Cynthia’s projections is that the Titans end up as the projected 10th best offense in the league. Without a doubt, the Titans have two stars in A.J. Brown and Henry, and an elite OL, but the depth at the skill positions is lacking at best. In order to be a top 10 unit, or better (if they want to be a Super Bowl contender), they’ll need Henry and Brown to have career years.
