Typically you like a new piece to your team, whether it is a front office member, coach, player, etc. to make a good first impression. Most of the time this happens in their press conference. Well, Robert Woods had his introductory presser yesterday and he didn’t just “win” the press conference, he owned it. Clearly comfortable in his own skin, and a very cerebral individual, Woods spoke on the things that made Nashville a desirable destination and his fit.
Culturally, I don’t think Woods could have gone to a better place. He talked about dominating his reps in practice, getting on the same page with the QB, having an open line of communication with the rest of the offense, and setting a standard. The Titans value practice reps a lot, so you know that was music to their ears.
Another special teamer has been brought back in Dylan Cole. He made a couple nice plays on special teams, but is definitely limited when asked to play defense.
Bucky Brooks has his positional top 5 for this year’s draft class. There are some definite eyebrow-raisers in here.
