Titans News: Bouncing back

After a deafening thud of a performance against New York, the Titans bounced back in a big way against Jacksonville. An 18 point win against a team that dealt with a ton of adversity dealt to them by their own head coach. The run defense was still terrible, and the game was kind of ugly, but it worked.

The pass protection was better yesterday, but it still wasn’t great. Ryan Tannehill was sacked 3 times, which means he’s just 4 sacks away from matching last year’s total. This needs to be cleaned up or else the Bills are going to crush Tannehill.

This week will be vital in getting healthy ahead of next week’s Monday Night Football matchup against the Bills. The run defense needs to get fixed, and a huge help in that should be benching Rashaan Evans, who continues to prove he is the worst ILB in football.

Harold Landry continues to be a menace rushing the passer. He’s at 4.5 sacks for the year, on pace for a whopping 15 sacks. Getting Dupree healthy across from him should make the pass rush even more fearsome, an that will be crucial as they start a stretch of tough games against Buffalo, Kansas City, Indianapolis, and the Rams.
