Titans News: Close call

The Titans had a bit of an injury scare on Tuesday, with Nate Davis having to be carted off the field. Later it was reported by Terry McCormick that Nate Davis should be good to go, as the injury was just a cramp.

It sounds like the defense won Tuesday’s practice according to Jim Wyatt’s camp notes.

Will Compton is extremely happy to be back with the Titans. Not only is he able to be on the same team as his best friend, Taylor Lewan, but he’s able to stay in the same town he was living in. The fan base loves him, and he’s very appreciative.

Jadeveon Clowney is still on the minds of Titan fans everywhere. Jim Wyatt fielded a question about “J.D.” in the Tuesday edition of his mailbag.

Out of the “Final Four” teams last year, the Titans are the least likely to make the playoffs says Adam Schein. Given who the other teams are, I understand the argument, but I think the Titans got better this offseason, and I think they will be in the playoffs again in 2020.

Now former Jaguar, Leonard Fournette, cleared waivers yesterday and is now officially a free agent. It’ll be interesting to see where he lands.

Another RB is in the news, as Joe Mixon signed a 4 year, $48M extension. Good for Mixon fantasy shareholders (myself). In addition to Mixon and Fournette making the news, there were rumblings that Alvin Kamara could be traded, but those talks seem to have been snuffed out quickly.

NFL.com did a 2020 season awards prediction piece. The Titans were shutout from the list, but I think Mike Vrabel will have a chance to win coach of the year. Kristian Fulton could win DROY as well.
